Boustany announces calendar

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., (R-Southwest Louisiana), today announced the 2009 District Outreach Calendar to help constituents who cannot travel to Lafayette or Lake Charles.

“My staff continues to help people across our area as they interact with federal government departments and agencies,” Boustany said.  “Ensuring constituents receive assistance as they struggle with bureaucratic red tape is one of my top priorities.  In addition to my offices in Lafayette and Lake Charles, staff members make regular visits across our area.  If you have a problem with a Federal Government agency or program, please stop by and see if we can help.”

Boustany’s staff can often assist individuals living in Southwest Louisiana with applying to Social Security, Veterans’ Administration or for other benefits as well as FEMA claims.  In addition, staff members have information on a wide range of beneficial programs and resources.

A Boustany representative will be at the following locations on a monthly basis.  For more information regarding district outreach, please contact the Lafayette District Office at (337) 235-6322 or the Lake Charles District Office at (337) 433-1747.
