Brittany Louise Fontenot to marry Colby Ryan Chaddick

VILLE PLATE - The engagement of Brittany Louise Fontenot to Colby Ryan Chaddick, the son of Brian Chaddick of Mamou and Renee and Albert Rozas III of Ville Platte, has been announced by her parents, Kirk and Anita Fontenot of Ville Platte.

The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, September 9, 2011, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.

Fontenot, whose mother is the former Anita Fontenot of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Jean Fontenot, Shirley Collier and Paul Fontenot.

A 2008 graduate of Ville Platte High School, she is currently pursuing a degree in history at LSU Alexandria and will graduate in December 2011.

The prospective groom’s mother is the former Renee Hanks of Ville Platte. He is the grandson of Joy Chaddick and the late Lloyd Lee Chaddick, Calvin Hanks and the late Mary Jane Hanks, Drucella Rozas and Rose and Albert Rozas Jr. Colby is the great grandson of the late Jimmy and Nita Ardoin, the late Roger and Myrtle Chaddick and the late J.D. and Honor Lindsey.

A 2006 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, he attended Louisiana Technical College and is currently employed as a welder with Cooper Cameron.
