Car, Tractor shows set Saturday

The Rice City Classic Car Show, Shine and Stroll and the Antique Tractor and Implement Show are being held in conjunction with each other this Saturday.
With both events — along with a motorcycle show at the MetLife Building — sure to draw a large crowd downtown, Mayor Greg Jones wanted for people to come out and have a good time without forgetting their civic duty.

During a luncheon at the Town Club on Friday, the Crowley Chamber of Commerce hosted its fourth “State of the Community” address.

Dr. Ricky E. Carter, pastor of Good Hope Baptist Church, was the keynote speaker at Monday’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration. The event, sponsored by the Crowley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is annually held at the Martin Luther King Center in Crowley on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
