Dr. Kelly Babineaux earns advanced degree

Kelly Lynn Babineaux, M.D., has graduated from the LSUHSC Department of Surgery in New Orleans after completing a five-year general surgery residency training program from July 2003 to June 2008.

She will be completing a fellowship in hand and micro-vascular surgery at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., in July of 2009.

Dr. Babineaux is a 1991 graduate of Rayne Catholic Elementary, 1995 graduate of Notre Dame High School, 1999 summa cum laude biochemistry graduate of LSU at Baton Rouge, and a 2003 graduate of LSU Medical School in New Orleans with a doctorate of medicine degree.

She is the daughter of Pete and Kay Babineaux of Rayne. She is the granddaughter of Gladys LeBlanc Babineaux and the late David “Pete” Babineaux, Jr., of Rayne, and the late Dave and Roberta Cresap LeFosse of Crowley.
