'The 39 Steps' to open Nov. 13

 

The Eunice Players’ Theatre is in the final stages of rehearsal for the upcoming production of “The 39 Steps”, a play based on the 1936 Alfred Hitchcock movie by the same name.

The play is the final show of the Eunice Players’ Theatre’s 44th season.

The director, Debi L. Crawford, says that even though it is a highly technical show, she is very confident that her production staff will be in full swing with al the finishing touches in place for the show’s Wednesday, Nov. 13 opening.

The talented cast of four take on the roles of 150 characters from the movie as they improvise a train chase, a plane crashing and a thrilling car ride through England and Scotland in search of the mysterious organization, The 39 Steps.

The comedy opens Nov. 13 and runs Nov. 16 and 19-21, with curtain at 7 p.m.

There will be a dinner theatre night on Thursday, Nov. 14, with a catered steak dinner served by Ruby’s Restaurant and Courtyard.

On Sunday, Nov. 17, there will a 2 p.m. matinee.
