Krewe Captain Nancy Wild and members of the Crowley Town Club’s Krewe de les Dames recently hosted a cocktail party in honor of Cimmer’s Court of 2015 to signify Twelfth Night and the official opening of the Mardi Gras season. The event was attended by members of the Krewe de les Dames and their spouses or guests, along with the court of 2015 and their guests. In keeping with tradition, all attendees were asked to wear something from their respective costumes from past Mardi Gras Balls. A toast to the royalty and court, amusingly reflective of the 2015 Mardi Gras Ball “00 Cimmer,” written by Ellen Dailey, was delivered by Judy Guillot in honor of the court members, from left, Amy Thibodeaux, “Goldfinger;” Lynn Spell, “Octopussy;” Lynne Broussard, “Live and Let Die;” Lydia Frey, “From Russia with Love;” Darlene Scarborough, “A View to a Kill;” Jessica Ardoin, “Moonraker;” King Cimmer LX Blane Marshall Faulk; Queen Ellen Benoit Dailey; Terry Shuff, “Goldfinger;” Dr. Kyle Richey, “Octopussy;” Burleigh Doga, “A View to a Kill;” and Dr. Dale Leleux, page’s parent. This year’s Mardi Gras Ball will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, at the International Rice Festival Building. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the official website: www.ktrcarnivalball.ticketleap.com/61. Information may also be obtained by calling the Crowley Town Club at 783-1410.
