Krewe de les Dames members enjoy annual ‘Ladies Tea’

Members of the Crowley Town Club’s Krewe de les Dames held their third annual “Ladies Tea” at the home of Patti Brammer on Sunday, Oct. 25.
In keeping with tradition of old fashioned teas, the 28 ladies in attendance were fashionably dressed in many styles of hats and headpieces.
They enjoyed finger sandwiches and fruit along with assorted cheeses and desserts.
Hostesses for the event were Nancy Wild, krewe captain; Marlene Thibodeaux, krewe co-captain; Katie Chiasson, past queen and krewe secretary; Judy Capel, krewe treasurer; Patti Brammer, past queen; Ann Sibley; and Sybil Dupuis.
The award for the most original hat went to Sybil Dupuis. The “Peoples’ Choice” award for favorite hat went to Lynn Spell.
Any lady who has ever participated as a maid in the Krewe of Town Reveler’s Mardi Gras Ball in any year is eligible for membership in the Krewe de les Dames. Contact any officer or member for information.
