Courtney Hanks, Scott Hebert engaged to be wed March 14

 

Courtney Reneé Hanks of Rayne and Scott David Hebert of Mowata have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed on the evening of Friday, March 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Lisa and Shelton Hanks of Rayne. Her maternal grandparents are Susan and Joseph LeBouef, and her paternal grandparents are Audrey Hanks and the late Dalton Hanks, all of Crowley.

Courtney is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and a 2012 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is presently employed as a registered nurse at Lafayette General Medical Center.

The prospective groom is the son of Janet and David Hebert of Mowata. He is the grandson of Harriette “Honey” Reiners of Mowata and the late Joseph Reiners; Carolyn Breaux of Iota and the late Raymond Breaux; and Jeanelle Hebert of Iota and the late Geary Hebert.

Scott graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 2007 before attending Acadiana Technical College and graduating as a residential and commercial electrician. He currently works as an electrician at Chris’ Electrical Service in Lafayette.

Father Gary Schexnayder will officiate the 6:30 p.m. nuptials.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Rayne.
