Mrs. Brody Jude Laviolette

Fogleman, Laviolette exchange nuptial vows

Couple to reside in Meaux following outdoor wedding at Rip Van Winkle Gardens

Addie Alissa Fogleman of Lafayette and Brody Jude Laviolette of Abbeville were united in wedlock on Friday, March 28, during a lovely ceremony at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia. Judge Ed Broussard officiated the 6 p.m. nuptials.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Trent Fogleman of Lafayette. Her maternal grandparents are Lydia Kuffler and the late Keith Kuffler. Her paternal grandparents are Jackie and Lyle Fogleman and the late Janet Fogleman.

Addie is a graduate of Louisiana State University and is currently attending Louisiana State University Eunice, where she is enrolled in the nursing program. She is presently employed as an office manager and nurse at Women’s Clinic in Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Laviolette of Abbeville. He is the grandson of the late Euris and Emory Faulk, and the late Genevieve and Rellis Laviolette.

Brody is a graduate of Abbeville High School and is currently employed as a first mate at Broussard Brothers, Inc.

Guests were ushered to their seats by Trent Fogleman Jr. and Lance Fogleman, brothers of the bride.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gorgeous in a slim-line gown with an intricate lace overlay embellished in its entirety with Swarovski crystals. The dress featured a beautiful high mandarin keyhole back, and the delicate skirt flowed into an elegant fishtail train with scalloped edging. It was completed with a rich band of decorative beading that defined its empire waistline.

Addie paired the dress with the same bridal veil worn by her mother for her wedding.

She carried a handheld clutch bouquet of white hydrangeas and white dove roses interspersed with brooches of sentimental value and hand-tied with satin ribbon.

Laura Leblanc, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Zoe Lamberson, friend of the bride, and Michelle Laviolette, sister of the groom.

The bridal attendants were clad in full length gowns with V-necklines softened by draped details. Slight shirring at the fronts and backs of the skirts created a dramatic flowing effect that complemented the skirts’ front slits.

They carried bouquets of coral passion, lavender, and white mini calla lilies hand-tied with white ribbon.

Lillian Sarah Gauthier, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.

The groom selected his friend James Comeaux to serve as best man. Standing as groomsmen were Nicholas Barras and Christopher Faulk, both friends of the groom.

Ring bearer was Keith Ryan Kuffler, cousin of the bride.

Family and friends joined the couple for a celebratory reception on-site at the Rip Van Winkle Gardens immediately following the ceremony.

Out-of-town guests attending the wedding traveled from Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas.

The couple will reside in Meaux.
