Johnson, Steen set to wed Saturday, Aug. 23

Rebecca Mignonne Johnson of Prairieville and Mitchell Billy Steen of Iota will marry in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony on August 23 at the Louisiana Old Governor’s Mansion in Baton Rouge.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Wilson Johnson and the late Rebecca Lynn Johnson of Prairieville.

She is the granddaughter of the late B.L. and Mary Frances Johnson of Greenwood, Mississippi, and the late J.C. Farris III of Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Rebecca is a graduate of East Ascension High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. She is the managing accountant for Juban’s Restaurant and Beausoleil Restaurant, along with their affiliated business entities.

The prospective groom is the son of Douglas and Regena Steen of Iota. He is the grandson of Cathy Steen of Iota and the late Willie Steen, and Betty Doucet of Iota and the late Gerald Doucet. 

He is a graduate of Iota High School and Louisiana State University. He is a former Marine Captain and is currently with Signa Engineering as a well site foreman intern.
