Leger, Dupont exchange vows

Loynice Marie Leger and Vonkeithen Jared Dupont, both of Rayne, were joined as husband and wife during an afternoon ceremony held on Saturday, July 19.

Pastor Tyrone Davis officiated the 3:30 p.m. nuptials at Southside Community Center in Rayne.

The bride is the daughter of Cindy Pousson and David Leger of Crowley. Her maternal grandparents are Mary Audrey Laviolette and Clinton James Pousson, and her paternal grandparents are Annie Mae P. Leger and Guilliam Leger Jr., all of Crowley.

Loynice, who is a graduate of Crowley High School and Blue Cliff College, is presently employed at Wendy’s in Love’s Travel Stop in Duson.

The groom, who graduated from Rayne High School, is the son of Roxanne Dupont and Carl Charles of Rayne. He is the grandson of Bernice Hamilton and Peter Dupont Jr. of Rayne, Norma Rochon of Rayne and Kerry Brown Charles of Breaux Bridge.

The bride’s mother, Cindy Pousson, served as matron of honor, and Davina Leger, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.

Also serving as bridal attendants were Misty Hoffpauir, sister of the bride; Markara Dupont, sister-in-law of the bride; and Leanna Francis, friend of the bride.

Hailie Jade Leger, daughter of the bride, and Kellie Nichole Matthews, niece of the bride, served as flower girls.

The groom selected his father, Carl Charles, to serve as best man. Standing as groomsmen were Clinton Pousson and Christopher Leger, brothers-in-law of the groom; Neil Charles, uncle of the groom; Joseph Nelson, brother of the groom; and Kevin Francis, friend of the groom.

D’Andra Dupont, godson of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Immediately following the wedding, the couple enjoyed an on-site reception at the community center.

Following a wedding cruise, the couple is residing in Rayne.
