NUPTIAL MASS TO UNITE SCHMID, BROUSSARD

Donna and Gregory Schmid of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to Kaleb Paul Broussard, son of Rebecca Broussard of Lake Arthur and Theresa and Kevin Olivier of Lutcher.

Mary’s maternal grandparents are Clifton Istre of Crowley and the late Mary Istre. Her paternal grandparents are June and Walter Schmid of Lafayette and the late Rose Marie Schmid. Mary graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 2008 before attending Louisiana State University – Eunice and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is presently employed as a caregiver in Lafayette.

Kaleb is the grandson of Verna and Sanford Broussard of Gueydan, and Carolyn and Charles Olivier of Cameron. He is a 2009 graduate of Gueydan High School and attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles. He is currently employed at Capitol Manufacturing in Crowley and is also self-employed as a musician.

The couple will exchange vows during a 7 p.m. Nuptial Mass officiated by Fr. Matthew P. Higginbotham. The ceremony will be held Jan. 3, 2014, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Crowley.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Crowley.
