Baby shower honors Sarah Lawlis Mire
An afternoon baby shower on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, was held in honor of Sarah Lawlis Mire of Round Rock, Texas.
The honoree and her husband, Arlin Mire, formerly of Rayne, are expecting their first child on Jan. 13, 2015.
Sarah is the daughter of Dr. Richard Steven Lawlis and Kim Lawlis of Georgetown, Texas.
Arlin is the son of Corwin and Pebbles Mire of Rayne.
Hosting the afternoon courtesy were Lourdes Lozano, Rhonda Bobinger, and Vicki Jackimiec at whose home the event was held in Georgetown, Texas.
Guests were served assorted quiches, assorted dips and crackers, fruit tray, vegetable tray, ham, turkey, cheese, bread, beverges, and a special baby shower cake.
The Jackimiec home was decorated in a “baby girl” decor including a baby girl wreath with different pairs of shoes, hanging baby girl clothes on clothes line across the fireplace, and the letters “JULIET” spelled out on a side table topped with crystal vases, candles and pink roses.
For the special event, Sarah wore a floral print dress with knee high boots and two strands of teething beads in pink and blue tones.
The maternal grandmother-to-be wore a two-tone, long-sleeve sweater over a black skirt and boots.
Paternal grandmother-to-be selected knee-length dress of navy and red horizontal striping with navy pumps.
Approximately 25 guests were in attendance from points of Louisina and Texas.
Special guests in attendance were great-grandmothers-to-be, Lucy Kibodeaux and Elenor Rushia.
