Crowley Garden Club meets at The Gallery

The Crowley Garden Club held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at The Gallery in Crowley, with the members enjoying a hands-on painting project – “Painting Flowers with Robert!” – presented by Crowley Art Association President Robert Baxter, who is also a garden club member. Flower design demonstrations were presented by Georgie Petitjean (stretch), Sissy Gall (assemblage), Marlene Brantley (designer’s choice) and Christie Brammer and Valerie Trahan (hanging, non-kinetic type). Brantley also provided the group with the monthly horticultural hint. Members taking part in Baxter’s flower-painting project included, from left, Brantley, Brammer, Ruth McBride and Sissy Gall.
