The Get Back Band to headline Taste of Crowley

CROWLEY — Crowley Main Street will host Taste of Crowley on Thursday, Nov. 14 at Crowley City Hall starting at 6 p.m.

Taste of Crowley is an annual community event to promote Crowley’s local cultural assets as part of the Louisiana Main Street program.

This year, Taste of Crowley is celebrating the businesses of the historic commercial district that have been operating for over 50 years.

The history museums of Crowley City Hall will serve as a backdrop for the event and guests will be entertained by several of the city’s top musicians.

Hunter Lambert, an accomplished violinist of Crowley, will open the event and perform as guests sample the delicacies provided by the host restaurants.

He was recently selected to serve in an international high school orchestra and will perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in February.

Headlining the night will be Get Back, the official Crowley Main Street band, which includes local performers Jack Miller, Chris Trahan, Tim Mader, Mike Dupuis and Carey Chopin.

The local band will be performing on the third floor of the city hall building.

A Taste of Crowley favorite, Get Back croons the classics of the ‘60s and ‘70s and provides an outstanding concert to complete the evening.

The diverse menu will give attendees a satisfying selection of all Crowley has to offer.

Participating host restaurants will provide samples of their signature dishes and include Feezo’s, The Rice Palace, The Town Club, Olde Tyme Café, Ruddock’s Bakery, Zeus, Frosto and a Time to Remember.

The Crowley Chamber of Commerce will promote the upcoming Ribbons and Rice holiday shopping event.

Louisiana Main Street and designated Main Street Communities throughout the state host the annual Louisiana Main to Main: A Cultural Road Show to collectively showcase the state’s culture, commerce, history, abundance of creative and natural assets, and encourage road trips from one Main Street community to the next.

Admission is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Tickets are available at Home Bank until November 14. Taste of Crowley is made possible with the support of its sponsors, City of Crowley and Home Bank.
