Mrs. Jake Douet

Breaux Bridge – St. Bernard Catholic Church was the setting for the marriage of Heidi Poché and Jake Douet on Saturday, August 2, 2008.

The Rev. Allen Breaux officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Poché of Catahoula, and the groom’s parents areMr. and Mrs. James Douet Jr. of St. Martinville.

The bride was escorted by her father and wore a trumpet-style ivory floor-length satin gown accented with beading and embroidery. A chapel length veil completed the outfit. She carried a bouquet of white roses, pink calla lillies and white stephonies accented with beads.

Cassie Poché, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and Hailey Bulliard, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ravin Bourque and Lindsey Poché, cousins of the bride; Jacie Boutte, Hailey Whitney and Kristi Babin. Matthew Douet, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Bevin Russo, Rusty Laviolette, Kevin Douet, Jacob Stephens, Jacob Poirier and Drew Bulliard. Jada Romero served as flower girl and William Louviere was ring bearer.

Ushers were Russ Louviere and Kim Douet II.

A reception followed at Marielle’s in Breaux Bridge.

Following a wedding trip to Marathon Keys, Fla., the couple will reside in Catahoula.
