Natalie Istre to wed Jarrett Pugh May 4

WHITE CASTLE - Natalie Claire Istre and Jarrett Thomas Pugh, both of Prairieville, have announced their engagement and commitment to wed on Saturday, May 4 at Nottoway Plantation in White Castle. The 3:30 p.m. ceremony will be officiated by Andrew Murrell.

The bride-elect, originally from Crowley, is the daughter of Mrs. Connie and Mr. Freddie Lafleur of Opelousas and Mrs. Debby and Mr. Anthony “Tiger” Istre of Evangeline. She is the granddaugher of Mr. and Mrs. James Quebedeaux of Washington and Mrs. Evelyn “Red” Istre and the late Mr. Harvey Istre of Crowley.

Natalie graduated from Notre Dame of Acadia Parish in 2003 before matriculating at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 2008. She is presently employed as a commercial insurance marketing specialist with BancorpSouth/Wright & Percy Insurance in Baton Rouge.

The prospective groom is originally from St. Amant and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Pugh of St. Amant. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Villeneuve of Sorrento, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pugh of Holly Bluff, Miss.

Jarrett is a 1999 graduate of St. Amant High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003 before earning a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2006. He is currently employed as the manager of finance with CDI Corporation in Baton Rouge.

The couple plans to reside in Prairieville following their marriage.
