Borill seeks re-election to City Council
The Crowley Post-Signal will publish announcements of candidacy in advance of the Nov. 4 primary elections. Announcements will be published on a first-come, first-serve basis through Oct. 21 in the newspaper with no announcements being published in the Sunday edition nor during the final two weeks prior to the election date.
Announcements, with color pictures, may be delivered to the Post-Signal business office (602 N. Parkerson Ave. in Crowley) during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, or emailed to steve.bandy@crowleytoday.com or howie.dennis@crowleytoday.com.
Announcements should be held to about 600 words and the Post-Signal reserves the right to edit all announcements.
Bryan Borill has announced his re-election bid for Crowley City Council Ward 2, Division A.
Bryan is married to Judy Dailey Borill and they have two adult sons, Joshua and Jake Borill.
Borill is a lifelong resident of Crowley and a graduate of Crowley High School. After graduation he attended USL, majoring in business.
Borill is employed by Louisiana Health Care Group as a Patient Care Representative. He is the current president of the Crowley Lions Club. He and Judy are members of The First United Methodist Church of Crowley. He is active in the Chamber and other civic and social organizations.
“I’ve enjoyed serving and representing the citizens of Ward 2 for the last 3 1/2 years,” Borill said. “I’ve gained valuable experience and a working knowledge of city and state government, which has enabled me to become an asset to our community.”
Borill is chairman of Public Buildings and co-chairman of Public Safety committees. He serves on Zoning and Annexation, Insurance and Personnel, as well as the Community and Economic Development committees.
“Crowley has faced many challenges, since I’ve been on council. This council has met those challenges,” Borill said. “We always try to make impartial and fair decisions and have brought Crowley through some tough economic times.
“Not every decision was popular and many decisions were very heart wrenching, but at the end of the day I believe we now have Crowley moving forward again, also poised for future prosperity and growth.”
Borill closed by saying, “All my life I have been a dedicated public servant and if re-elected I will continue pursuing quality of life — including safety and security — for constituents of Ward 2 and for all citizens of Crowley. Please allow me to continue to be your voice and representative on the city council, and, by all means, exercise your constitutional right to vote.
