The new Miss Rayne will be crowned by the outgoing honoree, Victoria Richard, who has completed a most involved reign as she represented the City of Rayne during local and area events.
In her outgoing letter to the citizens of Rayne, Victoria expresses:
“It has been both an honor and a privilege representing you, the City of Rayne, this past year as your 2015 Miss Rayne. I have traveled to numerous events outside our wonderful city and several events held within Rayne during my reign.
I have had the pleasure of sharing my experience with not only the 2015 Frog Festival Royalty, but also the 2016 Frog Royalty. Although my year with them was split, I will cherish the time we did spend together and the lasting memories we made.
I would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the Rayne Lions club for sponsoring me for the Miss Rayne pageant. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Ms. Suzette and Ms. Nikki, thank you both for everything. You two are amazing directors and I appreciate everything y’all have done for me this year. I love you both so much.
Ms. Lisa and Ms. Josie at The Rayne Acadian-Tribune, thank you both so much for always being there to capture my experiences to share with the city.
Mayor Chuck Robichaux, thank you for giving me the opportunity to represent the city that I am proud to call home. Thank you for always being so kind to me and for having pride in our city.
To my family and friends, thank you for your continued support throughout the years. It really means a lot to me and I love y’all so very much.
Sadly, the time has come for me to pass down my title to another lucky young lady. Although I am very heavy hearted, I realize one door must close in order for a new one to open. I would like to take this time to invite you to join me Saturday, August 13, at 6 p.m. at the Rayne Civic Center where your 2016 Miss Rayne will be crowned. Hope to see you there.”
