Sacré Coeur Kaycee Auxiliary Christmas Shopping Extravaganza set

The Sacré Coeur Auxiliary is hosting its 21st annual Christmas Shopping Extravaganza Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Home, located at the corner of South Avenue E and Elm Street in Crowley.

There is an admission charge of $1 per person (children 12 years old and under are admitted free), but the admission buys you a chance at a door prize, which will be awarded every 15 minutes. You must be present to win.

Everyone is invited to do their Christmas shopping under one roof, enjoying a day of shopping for unique gifts. Forty-eight vendors will have jewelry, wood carvings, glassware/garden items, Christmas stockings and decorations, Mardi Gras crafts, appliqueing and monogramming, gourds and okra Santas, fleur de lis ornaments, frames, woodcraft and metal decor, candles, baby and children items, plates made into serving trays, hand-painted Cajun and Louisiana art, crocheted items, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and much more.

The Knights of Columbus will have biscuits and coffee for sale in the morning and their famous brisket sandwiches, gumbo, jambalaya, potato salad, hamburgers, boudin balls, cold drinks and more for sale for lunch.  The Ladies Auxiliarywill have homemade sweet dough pies, candy pralines, fudge, brownies and more for sale.

The funds received from the show will be used by the Auxiliary for its community projects such as the Acadiana Outreach Christmas Angel Tree. The Auxiliary supports the Crowley Christian Care Center, MDA, cancer fund, the Right to Life, nursing homes and the handicapped and more. It also helps its church and its fellow Knights with programs.

Everyone is invited to come Saturday, Dec. 7, and do their Christmas shopping and enjoy the delicious meals and desserts prepared by the men and women of Sacré Coeur all under one roof.
