Rayne Rec flag football, volleyball registration

Registration will begin soon for Rayne’s 2014 season of the city’s football and volleyball league, as announced by Rayne Recreation Director Dwayne Derise.

The volleyball program will be available for girls between 6-11 years of age (must be seven years but not turn 12  by Sept. 1, 2014).

The Flag Football Program is for youngsters of the community (6-11 years of age). Pee-Wee League participants should be age 6 before Sept. 1, 2014 and Peanut League participants should be age 9 before Sept. 1, 2014.

Parents can register their child at City Hall beginning August 4th between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the Green Room Monday through Friday between the hours of 5-6 p.m. until Sept. 2nd.

Any registrations after Sept. 2nd will be charged a $10 late fee.

Parental support is also important for a successful Rec Program, Coaches, assistant coaches and referees are needed for the program.
