Mire Elementary Fun Fair slated on Oct. 26

Put the “art” in party at the 11th Annual Mire Elementary Fun Fair slated Saturday, Oct. 26, on the school grounds between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
An extreme raffle, an abundance of concessions and a special gumbo cook-off will highlight the events for the day. Also to be included during the day of fun will be music, kid-friendly poker run, challenging games, photo booth, fun jumps, delicious Sweet Shoppe, flea market, arts & crafts, and event T-shirts.
Donations to this year’s flea market and arts & crafts booths can be made to the school by sending items to the school library or by contacting Mrs. Girouard (873-6602).
This year’s Gumbo Cook-Off will include two-person teams with no entry fee. A $5 tasting fee will be charged for anyone wanting to taste delicious gumbo dishes. Registration form can be obtained on the Fun Fair’s Facebook page.
Concessions will be provided as follows: barbequed hamburgers, drinks, chips, pickles, candy and homemade goodies.
