Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary present awards, install new officers

 The Knights of Columbus Sacré Coeur Council 5499 and the Ladies Auxiliary recently held their 2014-15 Officer Installation Banquet.

Polite Bertrand, master of ceremonies, opened the banquet by welcoming everyone in attendance. Deacon Rodless LeLeux gave the invocation before Boy Scout Troop 70 presented the colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

After dinner, awards were presented. Beverly and John Hains, Catholic Youth Leadership Award (CYLA) chairpersons presented the CYLA awards to Brent Didier and Carolyn Robinson. 

Lisa Hoffpauir, Ladies Auxiliary president, presented the 2013-14 Sister of the Year award to Pat LeLeux. Grand Knight Steven Deville presented the 2013-14 Knight of the Year award to John E. Hains II and the 2013-14 Family of the Year award to Claude and Lana Breaux.

District Deputy Brett Hoffpauir presented the Golden Anniversary Award, representing 50 years as a council, to Council 5499 charter members.

Beverly Hains, Sacré Coeur Youth chairperson, presented the Outstanding Eighth Grade Catholic Award to Cameron Russell and Megan Maloz.

Following the presentation of awards, Beverly Hains, with the assistance of Louisiana Ladies Auxiliary Association State President Nora Shexnayder, installed the new Ladies Auxiliary officers.

District Deputy Hoffpauir then installed the new Knights of Columbus officers.

Remarks were then made by Lisa Hoffpauir, the outgoing Ladies Auxiliary president; Bernadette Cormier, new Ladies Auxiliary president; and Grand Knight Deville.

Deacon Daniel Didier closed the banquet with a benediction.
