Breast cancer ‘Lunch and Learn’ Oct. 15

Women with a family history of breast cancer, or those at risk, will benefit from attending a “Lunch and Learn,” sponsored by Acadia General Hospital, on Wednesday, Oct. 15.  The free presentation, focusing on women’s breast health, will be held at the Crowley Town Club from noon to 1 p.m.

Guest speaker Michelle Owens, M.D., is a board certified gynecologist in Crowley specializing in hormone replacement treatment and treatment of urinary incontinence, as well as other facets of women’s health. She will discuss symptoms and risk factors for breast cancer, which is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women.
