Glenn Dale Mier

A memorial service for Glenn Dale Mier, 52, of Rayne, will be scheduled at a later date.  Mr. Mier passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 2:45 a.m. in a Lafayette hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Rayne, Mr. Mier was a member of the Catholic faith.  He was a hot-shot driver, and he enjoyed cooking when he was not working.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Guidry Mier of Rayne; sister, Elizabeth Mier Benoit and husband, Wilton, of Carencro; maternal grandmother, Lena Terro Guidry of Rayne; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.  

Preceding Mr. Mier in death were his father, Leroy Joseph Mier; grandparents, Edma Touchet Mier, Alcide Mier, Wallace Guidry, Sr.; and several other relatives.
