Lawrence M. “Bugar” White

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Lawrence M. “Bugar” White Jr., 86 who died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at 12:13 a.m. at Lafayettte General Medical Center in Lafayette.

“Bugar” was a native and lifelong resident of Crowley. He worked for Geesey-Ferguson Service Life Insurance Company and Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for over 40 years.

Rev. Charlie Crews, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Monday, Oct. 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to service time.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter, Anne White Sanderson and husband Lewis of Laurel, Mississippi; one son, Larry White of Crowley; two grandchildren, Amy S. Bush and husband Jared of Starkville, Mississippi, and Ryan Sanderson of Crowley.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Faulk White; his parents, Lawrence M. “Hix” White Sr. and Emma Lyons White.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Sanderson, Will Ohlenforst, Jared Bush, John Faulk, Don Sobba, and Tom Hart.
