Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, October 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm for Edward  Prejean , 71, who died Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Interim LSU Hospital in New Orleans.
 
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.
 
Surviving are wife of 50 years, Gale Prejean, four daughters, Venessa P. Boudreaux and husband Claude "T" Boudreaux, Bernadette P. Abshire and husband David Absire I, Connie P. Carpenter and husband Robert Carpenter, Kathy Trahan and husband Raymond Trahan I, extended daughter, Yazemin, eleven grandchildren, Shelbie and Josh, Natalie, Tanner, Desi and Michael, Devanie and Corky, Dra, Bradley "B.J.", Haley and Casey, Abbie, Ray and Brittany, Katie and Corey, two step grandchildren, Amie, Caitlin, six great grandchildren , MiKaylah, Michael "Bubbie" III, Maddisyn, William,  Brooklynn, Kaydan, three step great grandchildren, his long time friend, Dale "Flip" Credeur.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents Ophie Prejean and Ezola Dupuis Prejean.
 
A rosary will be recited Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.
 
Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Sunday, October 19, 2014 from10:00 am until Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
 
Pallbearers will be, Claude "T" Boudreaux, David "Dra" Abshire II, David Abshire I, Michael Dale Cormier, Jr., Donald Alleman, Joshua Touchet, Allen "Noochie" Credeur, Jr., Tanner Boudreaux, Sydney Dupuis, Ray Trahan, and Dale "Flip" Credeur.
