Barbara L. Myers

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Estherwood for Barbara L. Myers, 68, who passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 2:10 p.m. at AMG Specialty Hospital Park Place Campus in Lafayette.

Fr. Randall Moreau, pastor of St. Margaret Catholic Church, officiated for the services. Burial was in the Estherwood Cemetery in Estherwood.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 24, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. A Rosary was recited Friday at 7 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation resumed on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert L. Myers of Estherwood; five sisters, Betty and husband Joe Vela of Egan, Lorena and husband Donald Davy of Crowley, Lou Anna and husband Donald Faulk of Port Arthur, Texas, Eva and husband Michael Broussard of Church Point and Sue Ellen and husband Harry Romero of Estherwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Troy Allen Myers; her parents, Huak and Mary Enola Leger; and two nephews, Eric Paul Davy and Mark Allen Vela.

Barbara was a very kind, loving and giving person.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
