Jeanette Marie Istre

A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held for Jeanette Marie Istre, 60, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at Duhon Funeral Home, LLC, of Crowley, with Rev. Randy Moreau officiating.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 18, beginning at 11 a.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m., until 10 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until just prior to time of service.
Interment will be in LeBlanc Cemetery in Midland. Ms. Istre passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at her residence in Estherwood.
She is survived by her fiancé of 17 years, James Istre Sr. of Estherwood; children, Melissa Istre of Jennings, Sheri Istre of Lake Charles and Sean Istre of Crowley; stepdaughter, Jamie Istre of Loreauville, 20 grandchildren; stepchildren, James Istre Jr. of Estherwood, Tiffany Romero of Loreauville, Amanda Istre of Crowley, Martha Istre of Loreauville, Pamela Trahan of Carencro, Katie Istre of Mamou and Kevin Istre of Crowley; 13 step-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Istre of Morse, Priscilla and husband Mike Istre of Morse, Christina Istre of Morse, and Carolyn Viator and husband Daniel of Estherwood; brothers, John Istre and wife Marie of Lyons Point, August Istre Sr. and wife Amy of Egan, Allen Ray Istre and wife Pat of Estherwood and Deluce Istre of Mermantau.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Collins and Gladys Istre; sisters, Beuloh Istre and Joann Clement.
Pallbearers will be Allen Ray Istre, John Istre, Ronald Istre, Kevin Istre, James Istre Jr. and Wayne Richard.
