Willis J. Gaspard, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Willis J. Gaspard, Sr., 83, who passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 9:35 P.M. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Deacon Dennis LaCroix, from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Church Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, June 05, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 05, 2015 at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife, Odile C. Gaspard of Rayne; two daughters, Mary Catherine and husband, Randy Broussard of Lake Arthur and Willa Gayle and husband, Nelson Potier of Erath; three sons, Willis Jr., and wife, Paula Gaspard, of Gueydan, Michael Gaspard of Gueydan and Christopher and wife, Aimee Gaspard of Gueydan; two step daughters, Brenda and husband, Tom Brandon of Rayne and Sue and husband, Mike Prudhomme of Scott; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two step sons, Donald and wife, Gale Guidry of Duson and Patrick and wife, Karen Guidry of Houston, TX.; one sister, Maudry Gutherie of Estherwood; twenty three step grandchildren, thirty four step great-grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Irene S. Gaspard; his parents, Eluc and Lucille C. Gaspard; one step son, Dr. Lawrence Guidry.
