Joseph W. LeBlanc

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Joseph W. LeBlanc, 67, who died at 11:53 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015, at his residence in Crowley.
Fr. Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will celebrate the Mass. Visitation may be observed Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Mermentau.
Joseph was born July 8, 1947, in Mermentau. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Crowley Police Department as Chief of Detectives after 25 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish and was an avid LSU fan. His most enjoyable time was with his family, especially the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Beverly H. LeBlanc of Crowley; two daughters, Kori Hollier and husband Tony of Mire and Leighla Taunton and husband Robert of Crowley; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Kayla, Logan and Harleigh Hollier, Allison Hill and Jennifer and Robert Taunton; eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Scarlet, Ivy, Landon, Liliana, Charleigh, Kennedi and Joseph; and one brother, Allen LeBlanc of Estherwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Irene LeBlanc; and a nephew, Allen LeBlanc Jr.
