Karen Daville Rachel

Funeral Services will be held for Karen Daville Rachel, 52, on Thursday, June 18, at 1 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Rayne. Rev. Jimmy Broussard will be officiating.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until just prior to the time of service.
Interment will follow the service and will be held at Old Crowley Cemetery.
Mrs. Rachel passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, at her residence in Rayne.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Deshotel of Rayne; three children, Glen Trahan III of Rayne, Ashley Deshotel of Jennings and Joshua Simar of Exeter, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, Randal Deshotel, Kyla McFarlain, Steven McFarlain Jr., Sabrena Simar, Joshua J. Simar and Jordan Simar, Lucas Fortie and Nicole McFaul; mother, Laura Broussard; sisters, Peggy Marvin, Sarah Deshotel, Cheryl Daville, Rhonda Fontenot, Jessica Darbonne, Rachel Murray, Lisa Aucoin, Dana Aucoin, Odelia Simoneaux, Joann Broussard and Laura Welch; brothers, Odie Broussard Jr., Charles Daville, Clint Aucoin and Greg Daville; nieces, Heather Kotrla, Desiree Deshotel and Gabi Marvin; nephews, Terrance Deshotel, Zachary Deshotel, Jace Deshotel, Hunter Marvin; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by fathers, Arva Lee Daville, Odie Broussard and Jessie Aucoin; sister, Victoria Aucoin; and brother, Brian Aucoin.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Simar, Terrance Deshotel, Zachary Deshotel, Jace Deshotel, Randy Deshotel and Hunter Marvin.
Honorary pallbearer will be Glen Trahan III.
