Vella Ann Bordelon Perry
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at the Longleaf Baptist Church for Vella Ann Bordelon Perry, 71, who died at 5 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, in Lafayette.
Rev Jimmy Broussard will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, at the First Presbyterian Church in Crowley. Visitation may be observed on Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday visitation will be at the Longleaf Baptist Church in Longleaf from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Paul’s Cemetery in Midway.
She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Thornsberry and husband Jim of Greenville, Ohio, Jane Rollins of Mamou and Sheila P. Beller and husband Bobby of Crowley; four sons, Gerd Seidel of Lawton, Oklahoma, Gary Perry and wife Nancy of Deville, Johnny Perry and wife Janis of Greenville, Ohio, and Ricky Perry and wife Sandra of Crowley; two sisters, Jenny Lee Bordelon of Simmsport and Clara Gunter of Elmer; a brother, Hansel Bordelon of Simmsport; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Lola Moreau Bordelon; husband, Hudy O. Perry; two daughters, Nancy Perry Wagley and Connie Louise Perry; sister, Geraldine Perkins; brother, Ernest Bordelon; grandson, Steven Perry; two great-grandsons, Hayden Perry and Carsten Perry; and a great-granddaughter, Callie Perry.
Pallbearers will be Cade Beller, Alec Beller, Mike Polakovich, Craig Perkins, Tyler Perry, Devin Perry and Jake Gunter.
