Phyllis Ann Trahan Arrighi

A resident of Baton Rouge, Phyllis Ann Trahan Arrighi died of natural causes at the age of 60 on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at her home.
Born in Crowley to her parents Wesley Trahan and Hazel Broussard, she lived a joyful and active life. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Crowley and attended McNeese State University. She worked as an administrative assistant at Cajun Contractors, but was most proud of her work with Group Contractors.
She is survived by her two siblings Dennis and wife Kathy Trahan and Mary and husband Dillard Darbonne; her two daughters, Kristi Allen, Leigh Donohue and husband John; and her son, David Hunter Arrighi Jr. and wife Leigh Beth; and by her six grandchildren, Ryleigh, Beau and Emerson Allen, Abbey and Ella Donohue, and David Hunter Arrighi III. She also shared a close bond with her nieces and nephews, Laurie Bert, Amanda Brinkman, Neal, Scott and Troy Darbonne.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Trahan; her father, Wesley Trahan; and her mother, Hazel Broussard.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed being a part of many organizations and activities such as playing tennis, Krewe of Romany, being involved in St. Aloysius Parish for her children and grandchildren, her commitment to her grandchildren’s dance education at Machita Dance Co. and keeping up with their athletics. She was a proud and devoted caregiver to her mother, but will mostly be remembered as a supportive mother and dedicated and involved Nann.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. with rosary recited at 7:45 p.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Home located at 825 Government St.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 16, with visitation preceding at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Roselawn Cemetery.
