Wilmer Ernest “Ernie” Brown

Funeral services were held for Wilmer Ernest “Ernie” Brown, 48, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, in the Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley Chapel with Rev. Jim Hoffman officiating.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 24, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and resumed on Saturday, July 25, at 8 a.m. until just prior to the time of service.
Interment followed the service in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Brown passed away suddenly on Friday, July 23, 2015, at his mother’s residence in Indian Bayou.
He is survived by his mother, Phadria Mae Sarver and husband Donald Ray Guidry of Rayne; daughter, Brooklyn Gayle Brown of Rayne; and two brothers, Lester Brown and wife Toni of Crowley and Kimberlon “Mack” Brown and wife Shontize of Crowley.
Ernie was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Gayle Brown; nephew, P.J. Hulin; and his maternal grandparents, Wilmer and Mable Sarver.
Pallbearers were Lester Brown, Mack Brown, K.C. Brown, Keenan Leger, Jared Burleigh and Wendell Bourque.
Honorary pallbearer was McKinley Brown.
