Viola Credeur

Rayne, LA --A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Viola "Taunt Toot" Credeur, 92, of Rayne will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Father Kevin Bordelon will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. in the funeral home.

Mrs. Credeur passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 9:50 A.M. in a Rayne care facility.

A lifelong resident of Rayne and Acadia Parish, Mrs. Credeur was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She cared for many local children throughout the years, and was lovingly known as "Taunt Toot" to many in the community. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Credeur's greatest joy was being with and caring for her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Credeur of Rayne, Wanda Thibodeaux and husband, Johnny of Duson, Janice Stelly and husband, Brian of Houston, TX, and Debbie Foreman and husband, David of Rayne; son, Roland Credeur and wife, Lynn of Mire; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mrs. Credeur in death were her husband, Lawrence Credeur; parents, Moise and Elvira Alleman Credeur; sisters, Holdia Patin and Mildred Breaux; brothers, Spurgen Credeur and Easton Credeur; and infant brothers, Erin Credeur and Andres Credeur.

Serving as pallbearers are Roland Credeur, Johnny Thibodeaux, Brian Stelly, Derek Stelly, David Foreman, and Mark Patin.
Named as honorary pallbearers are Brandon Faucheux, Brent Boyer, Nick Morgan, Jeff Hammonds, Seth Chapman, and Lindsey Stelly.
