Branch, LA - Funeral services will be held at Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Cemetery, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm for Byron Shawn Elwood Romero , 47, who died Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Interment will be in the Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Cemetery, Branch, LA.

Surviving are wife, Crystal Landry Romero of Branch, three daughters, Brittany Romero and finance' Floyd Carmello of Church Point, Whitney Romero Adams and husband Michael of Branch, Macklyn Romero of Branch, one son, Timothy Romero of Branch, eight grandchildren, brother, Duke Romero and wife Lori of Church Point, sister, Monique Romero Bush and husband John of Branch, sister, Denise Romero Credeur and husband Barry of Duson, sister, Janee' Romero Ellis and husband Bob of Broussard, mother, Marie "Toni" Richard Romero of Church Point, former wife and mother of three of his children, Stephanie Lynn Thomas Romero of Branch, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by father, Robert Romero, maternal grandfather, Elwood Richard, maternal grandmother, Bernadine Bellard, paternal grandfather, Whitney Romero, paternal grandmother, Antoinette B. Monceaux, grandchild, Blaison Adams, uncle, Timothy Richard.

Bryon worked for the Scott Police Department from 1989-2010. After leaving their he went to work for the Crowley Police Department in 2010 till the present time as a Detective in the Criminal Investigation Department. He was the Worlds Greatest Top Secret Chef.

A rosary will be recited Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and Wednesday, August 12, 2015, 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.
