Una A. Mouton

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ms. Una A. Mouton, 82, who passed away on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at 9:45 p.m. at the High Hope Care Center in Sulphur.
Deacon Bryne Winn from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Abshire Cemetery in rural Kaplan.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the funeral home chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 8 a.m. until time of services, all in the funeral home chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Earl and Susan LaPointe of Sulphur and William and Wendy LaPointe of Westlake; one brother, Mason Abshire of Buna, Texas; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
Ms. Una was preceded in death by her husband, Alger Mouton; one son, Rufus John LaPointe Jr.; one grand-daughter, Jon Donielle; her parents, Clarence and Olivia Abshire; seven sisters, and three brothers.
