Mr. and Mrs. Kane Joseph Thibodeaux

Celebrates August wedding

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette was the setting on Saturday, August 1, 2015, for a Nuptial Mass uniting Anna Bebbe Cointot and Kane Joseph Thibodeaux in holy matrimony. The one-thirty afternoon ceremony was celebrated by Fr. Kevin Bordelon.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Ella Cointot of Lafayette. Her grandparents are Roger and Sharon Cointot and Donald and Ella Dyme Hammond, all of New York. She is a graduate of Lafayette Christian Academy and attended The University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
The groom is the son of Gaylon and Stephanie Thibodeaux of Roberts Cove. His grandparents are Josie B. Thevis and the late Buster Thevis of Roberts Cove, and Harvey and Melba Thibodeaux of Rayne. He is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley, The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and is attending graduate school at Appalachian State University.
For the wedding, the bride wore sleeveless, mermaid-style wedding dress designed with a bateau neckline and bejeweled belt at the natiral waistline. She carried a colorful bouquet highlighted with sunflowers.
Anna was attended by her sister, Ella Treaster, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Cointot, bride’s sister; Sarah Thibodeaux, groom’s sister; Allison Cointot, bride’s sister-in-law; and Victoria Huynh, bride’s friend.
Attending the groom as best man was Taylor Thibodeaux. Groomsmen were Greg Gosen, groom’s friend; Will Mahaffey, groom’s friend; Ben Cointot, bride’s brother; and Steffan Mouton, groom’s friend.
Ring bearers were Thomas and Noah Adams, cousins of the groom.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at The Warehouse Event Center in Rayne for the newlyweds and their guests.
The couple is presently residing in Boone, North Carolina.
