Willie Archie Myers
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iota, for Willie Archie Myers, 81, who died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at 6:58 p.m. at Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley.
Fr. Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requested visiting hours Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary was recited Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Myers is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey Cart Myers of Iota; three daughters, Monica M. LeJeune and husband Michael of Iota, Nancy Myers of Baton Rouge and Donna Myers and husband Scott Hoffpauir of Gaithersburg, Maryland; two sisters, Rita M. LeJeune of Crowley and Brenda M. Benoit of Egan; six grandchildren, Micaela Lavergne, Caitlin LeBlanc, Jake-Michael LeJeune, Sara Hoffpauir, Kyle Hoffpauir and Darcy Hoffpauir; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Emily Clement Myers.
