Elfrieda K. Linscomb
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Elfrieda K. Linscomb, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Acadia General Hospital. She was 89 years old, born in Vienna, Austria, March 31, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Marieanna Kowar of Vienna, Austria; her husband, J.A. “Patsy” Linscomb of Crowley; two children, John A. “Big Johnny” Linscomb of Crowley and Mathew Linscomb of Lafayette; a daughter-in-law, Delcie P. Linscomb of Crowley; two grandchildren, Malcolm J. Landry Jr.. of Columbia, South Carolina, and John A. Linscomb Jr. of Crowley; four great-grandchildren, Kellon and Elizabeth Morgan of Rayne and Samuel and Jack Thomas Thibodeaux of Rayne.
She is survived by three children, Paul J. Linscomb and wife Renella of Lafayette, Marianna L. Morgan and companion Dennis J. “Dino” Stewart of Crowley and Betty L. Trahan and husband Jimmy “Paco” Trahan of Rayne; eight grandchildren, Shelley L. Colon of Dallas, Texas, Wendy L. Spell of Breaux Bridge, Lisa L. Dillard and husband Chad of Jacksonville, Florida, Tonya Mouton and husband Brent of Broussard, Nichole Hermann of Rayne, Amanda M. Thibodeaux of Rayne, Kari Oommen and husband Roy of Niagra, Ontario, Canada, and Brett Trahan and companion Dustin Silbernagel of Slidell; 31 great-grandchildren, Adrienne Linscomb of Austin, Texas, Cpl. Christopher Colon of San Diego, California, Jason Colon of Dallas, Texas, Tori and Seth Spell of Breaux Bridge, Adam, Ian and Jackson Linscomb, all of Crowley, Nicholas and Alex Ross of Jacksonville, Florida, Andrew and Thomas Mouton of Broussard, Katherine P. Parker of Spokane Valley, Washington, Jordan, Joshua, Jonathon, Justin and Jabin Hermann of Anchorage, Alaska, Kallisto and Elie Anna Cormier of Rayne, Ashley and Brianna Landry of Columbia, South Carolina, Skylar Crawford of Rayne, Christian Thibodeaux of Rayne, Blythe, Amahna and Aria Oommen of Niagra, Ontario, and Cohen, Carter and Josephine Silbernagel of Slidell; one great-great-granddaughter, River Parker of Spokane Valley, Washington; many nieces and nephews and countless friends and relatives.
She will be sadly and greatly missed by all.
