Amber Trahan of Crowley and Michael Menard of Breaux Bridge announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage on Saturday, June 21, 2008, during a sunset ceremony in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Waylan Trahan of Crowley and Scott and Greta Lindsey of Stuttgart, Ark., and the granddaughter of Leitha Vincent, Mr. and Mrs. Shelvan Trahan, and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Leleux, all of Crowley; and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lindsey of Beardan. She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, is attending McNeese State University and is employed at Healthwork’s Gym and Spa. The groom-elect is the son of Kim and Lynn Menard of Breaux Bridge and the grandson of Edmae Guidry of Cecilia, and Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Sparks and Elsie Dugas of Breaux Bridge. He is a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is employed by Southern Pipe & Supply Co.
