JOSHUA TYLOR O’NEAL
August 12, 1990 - July 27, 2008
BAYOU CHICOT - Funeral services were held for Joshua Tylor O’Neal, 17, of Pine Prairie, at Lake Cove Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 30. Burial followed in the Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.
Mr. O’Neal died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Lafayette General Medical Center. He was a 2007 graduate of Calvary High School in Oakdale. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Tina Marie Meylian and Duane of Pine Prairie; his father and step-mother, Anthony Hebert and Susan of Vidrine; one son, Joshua Aiden of Tennessee; four brothers, Hunter Hebert of Baton Rouge, Justin Meylian of Glenmora, Jacob Hebert of Pine Prairie and Michael Fontenot of Vidrine; four sisters, Samantha Hebert and Kurtlyn Saucier, both of Pine Prairie, Samantha Fontenot of Vidrine and Marion Hebert of Baton Rouge; his maternal grandfather, Jerry O’Neal and step-grandmother, Kathy, of Pine Prairie; his paternal grandfather, Wilford Hebert of Pine Prairie; his paternal grandmother, Linda Hebert of Pine Prairie; his step-paternal grandmother, Montez Meylian of Hineston; one great-niece, Gabrielle O’Neal; and a host of aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda O’Neal.
Pallbearers were Justin Meylian, Jacob Hebert, Adam Hebert, Darold Cole, Jordan Mitchell, Johnathon “Opy” Deshotel, Vince Holden, Trevor Blanchard, Austin Brecken, Michael Fontenot, Justin Munger, John Brady and Brody Evans.
Rev. Ervin Goodman officiated.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
BOBBY LEE TRATTLES
April 27, 1970 - July 26, 2008
MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Bobby Lee Trattles, 38, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 3 p.m., Monday, July 28. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Mr. Trattles died Saturday, July 26, 2008, in Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha Courville Trattles of Vidrine; his mother, Linda T. LeBleu of Pine Prairie; one son, Bobby L. Trattles II of Vidrine; two daughters, Tabitha Manuel and Danielle Trattles, both of Vidrine; one niece, Josie Fontenot of Vidrine; two brothers, Dawayne Trattles and Raphael LeBleu Jr., both of Mamou; and one sister, Christina Clark of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raphael LeBleu.

DAVID RENEE GRANGER
January 30, 1963 - July 26, 2008
MAMOU - Funeral services were held for David Renee Granger, 45, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 30. Burial followed in the St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving husband, father, brother and son-in-law, Mr. Granger died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his residence. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Nicole Chateuse Granger of Mamou; one daughter, Dalanna Granger of Mamou; three step-sons, Chantler Castro, Dustin Dillard and Derick Dillard, all of Mamou; one brother, Barry Granger and his wife, Sharon, of Lafayette; one sister, Andrea Miller of Mamou; two sisters-in-law, Naomi Deshotel and Robin Guillory, both of Mamou; two brothers-in-law, Josh Deshotel of Mamou and Bryon Miller of Eunice; and his mother-in-law, Euna Deshotel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Georgie Granger.
Brother Terry Lafleur officiated.

RONALD JAMES ORTEGO SR.
HOUMA - Funeral services were held for Ronald James Ortego Sr., 80, of Houma, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma at 2 p.m., Monday, July 28. Burial followed in the St. Francis de Sales Number Two Cemetery.
A native of Ville Platte, Mr. Ortego died at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008. He was a retired chemical engineer with Louisiana Mud Company for 40 years. He was a parishioner at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mavis Fontenot Ortego of Houma; three sons, Ronald Ortego Jr. and his wife, Janice, Steve Ortego and Tim Ortego, all of Houma; one daughter, Stephanie Fulin and her husband, Wayne, of Sugarland, Texas; two brothers, Calvin Ortego of Houma and Gerald Ortego of Ville Platte; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fabuse and Amy Fontenot Ortego; one brother, George Ortego; and one sister, Berna Belle Stanbrough.
Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma was in charge of arrangements.
