Annie Vondenstein Schultz

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Monday, Sept. 7, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for Annie Vondenstein Schultz, 96, who died Sept. 5, 2015, at Acadia General Hospital.
Fr. Joseph Tran, pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visitation to be held Monday from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday.
Interment will be in St. Lawrence Mausoleum.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Jean Schultz of Mowata, and Barbara S. “Bobbie” Miller and husband Ronnie of Mowata; daughter-in-law, Carla G. Schultz of Opelousas; son-in-law, Fred Bruner of Branch; sister-in-law, Dorothy P. Vondenstein of Mowata; nine grandchildren, Blaine Miller and wife Lynette of Crowley, Teri M. Domino and husband Michael of Spring, Texas, Kami Miller of Carencro, Lori M. Garcia and husband Steve of Tomball, Texas, Jason Schultz and wife Katie of Lewisburg, Meghan S. Dendy and husband Brian of Bournemouth, England, Whitney F. Sellitto and husband Michael of New Orleans, Joseph Bruner and wife Erin of Baton Rouge, and Steven Bruner of Crowley; and 10 great-grandchildren, Natalie Miller of Crowley, Bryant Stark of Colorado, Aimee S. Bitler and husband John of Florida, Austin, Madeline, and Morgan Domino of Spring, Texas, Serena, Christian, and Cesar Garcia of Tomball, Texas, and Jon Thomas Bruner of Baton Rouge.
Ms. Schultz is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Schultz Jr.; one daughter, Patricia S. Bruner; one son, Donald J. Schultz; her parents, Peter and Helen Wirtz Vondenstein; two sisters, Rita Foret and Mary Fontenot; and two brothers, John Vondenstein and Tony Vondenstein.
Pallbearers will by Blaine Miller, Jason Schultz, Michael Domino, Steve Garcia, Mike Sellitto, and Michael Vondenstein.
Honorary pallbearers will by Brian Dendy and Joseph and Steven Bruner.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Acadia General Hospital, Encore Rehabilitation Center, and Louisiana Hospice of Palliative Care for their care and compassion during Ms. Annie’s illness.
