Austin Joseph Trahan

Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 1:30 pm at a Mass of Christian Burial for Austin Joseph Trahan , 90, who died Monday, June 1, 2015 at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are wife, Thelma Bourque Trahan of Rayne, one daughter, Linda "Lyn" Guidry and husband Ken of Rayne, two grandsons, Kenny Guidry and wife Tina of Rayne, Brandon Guidry and wife Nicole of Rayne, one granddaughter, Rachelle Guidry Keely and husband Stan of Rayne, seven great-grandchildren, Drake Guidry, Morgan Keely, Hunter Keely, Sydney Guidry, Emma Guidry, William Guidry, Annie Guidry, three great great grandchildren, Maddon Guidry, Abrahm Guidry, Nyla Keely.

He was preceded in death by parents, Leonce Trahan and Donie Guidry Trahan, one sister, Ella Trahan Boudreaux and husband Oray, one brother, Wallace Trahan and wife Hazel Fontenot Trahan.

Mr. Trahan served in the United States Army in WWII. He was the owner and operator of Trahan's Plumbing in Rayne, LA. He enjoyed spending his time training race horses.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 7:00 pm and Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday, June 4, 2015, 8:30 am until 1:00 pm.
