Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Coby Guidry, 23, of Rayne who passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, LA.
Fr. Samuel Fontana, Assistant Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Edmond Catholic Church in Branch, LA.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his father, Wayne “Rosco” Guidry of Rayne; mother, Chastity and husband, Chud Mire of Rayne; two sisters, Emily and Skylar Guidry both of Rayne; two brothers, Jude and John Mire of Rayne; paternal grandmother, Nora Guidry of Rayne; maternal grandmother, Vickey Winn of Church Point and several Aunts and Uncles.
Coby was a 2011 graduate of Rayne High School. He loved sports, he enjoyed crabbing, dancing and making people laugh. He was the Assistant Coach for Rayne’s All Star little league Baseball team the Warriors.
Coby was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gavis Guidry; his maternal grandfather, Randy Comeaux; his maternal great grandparents, Elmo and Enola Comeaux; his paternal great grandparents, Louis and Elta Credeur; his uncle, Dion Comeaux.
