Dallas Simon, Sr.

On Friday, June 12, 2015, at 8:45 a.m. the Gates of Heaven opened to welcome home our angel, Dallas Simon, Sr.
Dallas Simon, Sr., was born on September 6, 1933, to the late John Simon, Sr., and Elizabeth Joseph Simon.
Dallas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and father-in-law who always showed genuine love for everyone he came in contact with, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many more. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Dallas leaves to cherish his memories four sons, Dallas J. Simon, Jr. (Freida), Daniel Simon Sr., Gary M. Somon and Randy M. Simon, (Marlena), all of Rayne, La.; three daughters Lisa M. Board (Russell), Jacqueline M. Steiner (Mitchell), both of Rayne, La. and Janet M. Sonnier (Paul) of Clinton, Utah; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is prceeded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Simon; his parents, John and Elizabeth Simon; two sons, James Simon and Steve Simon; two brothers, George Simon and John Simon, Jr.; two sisters, Ezora Young and Cecile Logan; one granddaughter, Shontiz Simon; and one great-grandson, Jarmari McDade
Wake and viewing will be at Willtuner Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary being said at 7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 577 N. Ave. C, Crowley, La.
The funeral will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Shrine of Our Mother of Mercy Church, 600 West Jefferson Davis, Rayne, La.
Burial will follow in the Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery.
