Dorothy Domingue Broussard

Rayne--Dorothy Domingue Broussard, 86, passed peacefully in her sleep in New Iberia on June 27, 2015, at 7:27 a.m. Her husband, Taylor J. Broussard, Jr. of New Iberia preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Broussard will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne, with interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2. Father Samuel Fontana will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home, with a rosary being recited at 11:30 a.m.
A resident of New Iberia for fifty years, Mrs. Broussard may be remembered by New Iberia residents for her years as a sales person at The Style Shop.
A native of Rayne, her parents, Felix Domingue, Jr. and Eula Benoit Domingue, as well as her brothers, Dallas and Gilbert Domingue, all of Rayne, preceded her in death. Her sisters, Marguerite Domingue Guidry of Rayne, and Evelyn Domingue Trochez and husband, Leonard of Gretna survive her.
Mrs. Broussard is survived by her four children and their spouses: Jeffery Broussard and wife, Heather, of Pasco, WA, Delores Broussard Dugas and husband, David, of Baton Rouge, Paulette Broussard Winegeart and husband, Charles, of Orlando, FL, and Henry Broussard of New Iberia. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
The family asks that those wishing to honor her life recognize in their own way their local Hospice and Council on Aging organizations.
The family also wishes to express its gratitude to the staff of New Iberia Manor North, the Iberia Parish Council on Aging, and all the medical professionals who have cared for Mrs. Broussard through the years.
