Gregory Joseph Leonards
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 22, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church honoring the life of Gregory Joseph Leonards, 65, who died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014.
He will be laid to rest at St. Leo Cemetery with Fr. Cedric Sonnier officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Stephen Leonards, Lawrence Leonards, Albert Leonards, William Leonards Jr., Michael Thomas McBride and Robert Houston.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons Bailey Leonards, Gage Leonards, Hunter Leonards, Merruce Leonards, Aiden Leonards and Owen Leonards.
He is survived by wife, Vickie LeBlanc Leonards of Abbeville; sons, Jeremy Leonards and wife Angel of Egan and Barrett Leonards and wife Laney of Iota; daughter, Amy Fusilier and husband Loney of East Bernard, Texas; brothers, Stephen Leonards and wife Susan, Lawrence Leonards and wife Carol, Albert Leonards and wife Brenda, Alfred Leonards, William “Jr.” Leonards and wife Bobbi; sisters, Audrey McBride and husband Mike, Lucille Chisholm and husband Tom, Louise Heinen, Judy Hoffpauir and husband Cecil; grandchildren, Katelynn Leonards, Bailey Leonards, Gage Leonards, Hunter Leonards, Merruce Leonards, Aiden Leonards, Owen Leonards, Gretta Leonards; step-grandchild, Jade McFarlain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leonards Sr. and Rose Bollich Leonards; a grandson, Jacob Fusilier; a nephew, Carl Leonards; and a brother-in-law; Lawrence Heinen.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 22, at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for church.
