Ida Ann Kibodeaux
Rayne, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Ida Ann Richard Kibodeaux, 75, of Rayne will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Rayne.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Kibodeaux passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 8:11 A.M. in her Rayne residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Rayne, Mrs. Kibodeaux was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She attended St. Joseph School, South Rayne Elementary, and Rayne High School. She served as a flag bearer with the Rayne High School Band. Her greatest joy in life was being with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen K. Franzel and husband, Marcellus of Rayne, Vickie K. LeBlanc and husband, Louis of Duson, and Elena M. Kibodeaux of Rayne; sons, Terry P. Kibodeaux of Rayne, and Steve A. Kibodeaux and wife, Pam of Branch; brother/Godchild, Horace Ceasar "Butch" Richard, Jr. and wife, Cherise of Kaplan; Godchild, Debbie Guidry; grandchildren, John D. Fontenot and wife, Cassie, Matthew Richard, Rusti Joan Richard, Craig A. LeBlanc and wife, Erica, Jessica R. Kibodeaux, Cody J. Kibodeaux, Lance B. Kibodeaux, Eva A. Melancon, and Kora L. Melancon; and great-grandchildren, Coy C. Fontenot, Caleb L. Fontenot, Sabrina A. Scriber, Noah C. LeBlanc, Christopher M. LeBlanc, Oriona P. Coleman, Jaden L. Martinez, and Briley S. Romero.
Preceding Mrs. Kibodeaux in death were her husband, Russell J. Kibodeaux, Sr.; son, Russell J. "Rusty" Kibodeaux, Jr.; grandson, Christopher Paul LeBlanc; and parents, Horace C. and Era Pullin Richard.
Serving as pallbearers are Horace C. "Butch" Richard, Jr., Terry P. Kibodeaux, Steve A. Kibodeaux, Marcellus J. Franzel, Louis "Flap" LeBlanc, Jr., and Craig A. Leblanc. Named as honorary pallbearers were Cody J. Kibodeaux and Lance B. Kibodeaux.
